TRIP BOOKED · READINESS QUEUE

First Trip to China Readiness Check

Turn bookings into tested systems

Work through the default queue, then remove only the systems your real itinerary does not use. Move each relevant item from setup to tested to recovery ready.

RECOMMENDED DEFAULT ORDER · NOT A PERSONAL RISK RANKING

Hotel, rail and arrival can be essential or irrelevant depending on the real itinerary. Mark any unused system not relevant; the page does not infer applicability for you.

DEFAULT ORDER

Entry route resolved

This is the first unfinished item in the disclosed default order, not a claim that it is your highest personal risk.

First action
Open the entry directory and compare the relevant parallel routes. Check passport type, nationality, purpose, travel dates and the complete ticketed route against each relevant rule. Do not mark this tested until the exact entry basis is confirmed.
Fallback or recovery
If no exact rule is confirmed, pause non-refundable booking and use the entry directory's responsible-authority links. Ask NIA 12367 about the entry rule, or use the visa office serving your legal residence; if no centre serves it, contact the responsible Chinese embassy or consulate.
Escalate when
Pause non-refundable booking while the entry basis, route, port, permitted area, purpose or date remains unclear. Use the official policy hub to find the responsible rule, then ask 12367 or the responsible embassy or consulate. The authority decides the case.

First actionConfirm the exact phone, unlock status, plan coverage and activation rules. Rehearse the data setup as far as the provider permits, keep the home number available for bank or wallet messages, and save the provider's instructions offline.

Fallback or recoveryKeep a second powered device or paper arrival pack plus a staffed airport or hotel connection route. Two plans on one phone protect against some provider failures, not a failed device or battery.

Escalate whenUse the provider's official support and a staffed connection fallback. Do not delete an installed eSIM until the provider confirms it can be restored, and keep access to the home number used for verification messages.

First actionFollow the wallet's identity and card-linking prompts, then complete a small real transaction where the product permits. A linked card or verified identity alone is not a payment test. Keep an independent card and modest RMB cash ready.

Fallback or recoveryIf a payment is charged, pending or processing, pause and ask the merchant to match it to the order. Change payment route for the same order only after it is confirmed unpaid or safely cancelled. Two wallets backed by the same blocked card are not independent backups.

Escalate whenUse the wallet or card issuer's official support when the first payment cannot be reconciled. Do not make repeated payments for the same unresolved order.

First actionAsk the exact property to confirm the foreign passport, branch and arrival time in writing.

Fallback or recoveryKeep a second property that has separately confirmed the same passport and arrival conditions, or a written platform replacement/refund path. An address card alone does not recover a refused stay.

Escalate whenUse booking-platform or property support before arrival if acceptance, registration or late check-in remains unclear; do not cancel a prepaid stay until the refusal is recorded.

First actionVerify the passenger identity and confirm the order is issued, not merely paid or waitlisted.

Fallback or recoveryCarry the original passport and save the staffed ticket-office and manual-passport-gate workflow for the exact station.

Escalate whenUse the station office when online verification or the passenger record cannot be resolved safely.

First actionSave the exact arrival terminal or station, official pickup route and destination in Chinese before arrival.

Fallback or recoveryKeep a paper destination card and an official taxi or staffed transport-desk route outside the failed app.

Escalate whenStay inside the staffed arrival area when the pickup, payment or destination handoff is not safe.

First actionPut the arrival route, bookings, rescue phrases and private contacts in one offline file you control.

Fallback or recoveryKeep a paper copy or second-device copy that does not depend on the same battery, account or live connection.

Escalate whenRebuild the pack before departure if a critical document still exists only inside one live app.

Progress saves only validated item states in this browser on this device. Empty, unknown or malformed values are discarded. Nothing is uploaded. The score excludes items marked not relevant and is a preparation aid, not a visa or entry decision.

ENTRY ANSWERS STAY CONDITIONAL

Passport alone is not enough.

Use the parallel routes and official controls in the entry directory to check your exact passport, purpose and complete route; this directory does not decide eligibility. The official Visit China hub is a policy directory, not a personal eligibility result; older pages linked from that hub can lag current policy. When a case remains unclear, pause non-refundable booking, find the responsible rule and ask 12367 or the responsible embassy or consulate.
